The "Logi Options" software can be used to switch the special functions for Photoshop and other apps on and off - that usually helps. Then maybe restart the Mac completely and check whether you have both the current firmware of the Craft as well as the current Logi Options version. If the volume continues to change, it has not worked. with a new file, then key J for repair brush and now the rotary wheel should change the tool size.
